Hakata Port
The Port of Hakata has long prospered as an international exchange hub open to the Korean Peninsula and mainland China. In recent years, taking advantage of its geographical conditions—approximately 200km from Busan, South Korea, and approximately 900km from Shanghai, China—it has been visited by numerous domestic and international cruise ships. With an international scheduled route to Busan, South Korea, it is the number one seaport in Japan in terms of the number of passengers boarding and disembarking from ocean-going vessels.
