Kaminato Port

Kaminato Port is located in the northeastern part of Hachijojima Island, and a quay where large regular ferries can dock has been developed. Hachijojima Island is a cocoon-shaped island located about 290 km south of Tokyo, out at sea. Its two ends are divided into the Mihara-yama and Hachijo-Fuji mountain systems; the coast of Mihara-yama and the coast of the northwestern part of Hachijo-Fuji are steep, but the area between the two mountain systems consists of gently sloping surfaces or flat land.
