Karatsu Port

Karatsu Port is a tranquil harbor facing the Genkai Sea. Since ancient times it has been known as "Kara no Tsu" and has flourished as a key hub for trade with the continent. Since the Meiji era, it developed as a port for shipping coal, and during the Taisho era, foreign trade was also actively conducted here.
