Nagasaki

Nagasaki Port

Nagasaki Port is a natural harbor surrounded by mountains on three sides. It opened in 1571 and has developed through trade with foreign countries since ancient times, and this influence is strongly reflected in the townscape, food culture, and events. Cruise ships entering Nagasaki Port pass under Megami Ohashi Bridge at the entrance of the harbor and can travel all the way to the pier located in the center of the city. This pier features one of Japan's largest CIQ facilities and a terminal equipped with free Wi-Fi, offering high convenience. From here, visitors can walk to tourist attractions such as the "Former Glover House," which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2015, and other major tourist spots within the city can be accessed by streetcar. Furthermore, bus tours are available to Huis Ten Bosch, Unzen, Shimabara, and other destinations.
