Yokohama Port

Since opening in 1859 as Japan's first modern international trading port, the Port of Yokohama has welcomed many passenger ships as the gateway to the greater Tokyo metropolitan area. Being 11 nautical miles closer to the Pacific Ocean than the Port of Tokyo not only saves on pilotage fees and fuel, but also allows passengers to enjoy more leisurely sightseeing time.
